Farmers' Market @ UNU
One of Tokyo's longest-running farmers' markets, held every weekend in front of the United Nations University near Omotesando.
The Farmers' Market @ UNU is one of Tokyo's most established and best-attended farmers' markets. It takes place every Saturday and Sunday in the plaza in front of the United Nations University in Aoyama, a short walk from Omotesando Station.
What to expect
Nearly two dozen farmers and producers sell seasonal fruit and vegetables, both conventional and organic, often brought in from neighbouring prefectures and farther afield. You will also find baked goods, jams, honey, oils, spices and tea, a small antiques section, occasional handmade crafts, and a few food trucks for a quick lunch. Prices are fixed, so bargaining is not the norm.
Visitor tips
- Open Saturdays and Sundays from about 10 AM to 4 PM.
- The market may be cancelled in severe weather, so check the website before heading out.
- Getting there: Omotesando Station, exit B2, then a short walk along Aoyama-dori towards Shibuya.
