Pasar Klewer is the largest textile market in Surakarta (Solo), beside the Kraton Surakarta palace complex. It has two floors, about 1,467 traders and some 2,064 stalls, and is a shopping centre for batik traders from Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Semarang and other Javanese cities. It is a symbol of Solo. The market burned down on the evening of 27 December 2014 and was later rebuilt. Hours are not confirmed here.
