The handicrafts bazaar is a row of shops along Norzin Lam, Thimphu's main road. It is the best place in town for traditional crafts: textiles such as kira fabric, gho and woven scarves, wooden bowls (dapa), incense, prayer flags and souvenirs.
Tips: Open during normal daytime shopping hours. Ask about materials and origin, since some shops sell imported or machine-made goods, and bargaining may work at smaller stalls. Pair it with the Centenary Farmers' Market at the weekend. Coordinates point to Norzin Lam.
