Beijing Road in Yuexiu District is a busy pedestrian shopping street and possibly the city's first commercial centre. A glass panel in the pavement shows an excavated Song dynasty road. The food area at the northern end focuses on Cantonese dishes: steamed rice rolls, fried rice noodles, dim sum, wonton noodles and congee, and there are often queues. Hours are roughly 10:00 to 22:00.
