A historic river-trade street in Daxi with preserved shopfronts and the district's famous dried tofu.
Daxi grew as a trading hub on the Dahan River, and some shops from that era still stand in the old town section. The district later became known for wooden furniture, and Daxi dried tofu is a popular ingredient in Taiwanese cooking.
The old street is a pleasant day-trip stop for snacks and heritage architecture.
