Gawalmandi Food Street is in the Gawalmandi neighbourhood of Lahore and is described as one of Pakistan's oldest food streets. After 1947, families who migrated from Amritsar and nearby cities settled here and, with few jobs, opened small food shops in front of their homes, which laid the foundation for the street. A food-street roundup names paye, hareesa, haleem and murgh channay among the dishes, and describes it as giving a view of old Lahore.

The street was reported as reopened after public demand. I could not confirm opening hours, so check locally before you go. The cover photo shows the Fort Road Food Street in Lahore and is not Gawalmandi itself (illustrative).
