Geylang Serai Bazaar (Ramadan)
Singapore's best-known Ramadan and Hari Raya bazaar, filling Geylang Serai with food stalls and festive lights each year.
Geylang Serai is the heart of Singapore's Malay community. During the Ramadan month, a large bazaar and light-up fill the area with stalls selling food, clothing and festive goods.
What to expect
Hundreds of stalls, crowds after sunset, and a festive atmosphere. Between Ramadan seasons the neighbourhood keeps its year-round Geylang Serai Market and food centre.
What to eat
Murtabak, ramly burgers, satay, kebabs, kueh, dates and drinks for breaking fast.
Visitor tips
- The bazaar runs during Ramadan only, and dates change each year. Check official announcements.
