Hotan Night Market is a food market in Hotan, a southern Silk Road city between the Kunlun Mountains and the Taklamakan Desert. It was founded in May 2018 and officially opened in January 2019, with 194 stalls, 25 ethnic side shops, seven large restaurants and a children's play area. Since a 2016 upgrade with heating and ventilation at each stall, it can run year-round. Foods include baked buns (samsa), whole roast lamb, tamarisk-skewered meat, lamb skewers, spicy lamb hooves, pigeon soup, stuffed lamb tripe and yogurt zongzi. It is busiest after dark; exact hours are not confirmed. The photo shows the Hotan bazaar (illustrative), not the night market itself.
