Jodd Fairs night market, Bangkok

Jodd Fairs is a modern evening market in Bangkok, popular with young crowds for its Instagram-friendly street food, bright stalls and relaxed hangout feel. It grew out of Bangkok's train night market scene and is run by the team behind the original Ratchada train market.

What to expect

A large, brightly lit area of food stalls and small shops, with seating and live music. The current Ratchada site is a short walk from Thailand Cultural Centre MRT station (exit 4). Earlier Jodd Fairs sites, including Rama 9 and DanNeramit, have closed, so make sure you head to the Ratchada location.

What to eat

Volcano pork ribs, seafood, grilled meats, fried snacks and desserts.

Visitor tips

  • Open daily in the evening, about 5 pm to 1 am, according to recent listings. Check the market's Facebook page before you go, as hours and layout change.
  • Bring cash.
  • Take the MRT rather than a taxi to avoid traffic.
