Obiyamachi is a covered arcade about 650 metres long, made up of Ichibangai, Obiyamachi 1-chome and Obiyamachi 2-chome. Hirome Market sits at its west end, so many visitors walk the whole length on the way. Old fashion shops and a cinema have largely given way to restaurants and izakaya, and it is busiest in the evening. It is one of the performance venues for the Yosakoi Festival in August.
