Nanhou Street in the Three Lanes and Seven Alleys district of Fuzhou

Sanfang Qixiang, the Three Lanes and Seven Alleys, is a historic block on both sides of Nanhou Street in Fuzhou's old centre. It covers about 38 hectares and is described as the largest and best preserved Ming and Qing architectural district in China, with about 270 well-preserved ancient residences. The layout follows a fish-bone pattern with Nanhou Street as its central axis.

The three lanes are Yijin, Wenru and Guanglu; the seven alleys are Yangqiao, Langguan, Anmin, Huangxiang, Taxiang, Gongxiang and Jibi. Shops along the streets sell Fuzhou handicrafts, local snacks and Fujian and Taiwan specialties.
