The Vang Vieng night market sets up along the streets in the middle of town every day from about 5pm to 10pm, and is liveliest between roughly 6pm and 8:30pm. Food vendors sell grilled meats, sticky rice, fresh fruit smoothies, noodle soups, spring rolls and local desserts. Craft stalls carry handwoven textiles, clothing, jewellery, bags, wood carvings, bamboo products and paintings.
