Vernissage at Izmailovo (Moscow)
Moscow's classic weekend souvenir and antiques market beside the Izmailovo Kremlin, open Saturday and Sunday.
Vernissage is a weekend market of matryoshka dolls, Khokhloma, paintings and military memorabilia, alongside antiques such as Soviet plates, lamps and medals. Most sellers are professional dealers who have traded here for years, so bargains are rare.
It is open Saturday and Sunday from 09:00 to 17:00. The nearby New Vernissage has vintage shops and secondhand clothing.
Tips: Allow a few hours and bargain politely. Coordinates are approximate.
