Yansan Night Market sits on Section 3 of Yanping North Road in Taipei's Datong District. It is also known as Daqiaotou Night Market because of its position near Taipei Bridge, where day labourers once gathered and stalls grew up around them. It is a local market rather than a tourist stop.

When: roughly 6 PM to midnight. Check before you go, as stalls keep their own hours.

What to eat: beef noodles and braised beef offal, Hsinchu-style rice noodle soup, and a well-known grilled mochi shaved ice stall.
