Guilin's most famous walking street, beside the Zhong Clock Tower, with a food-focused north end and a lively night scene.
Zhengyang Pedestrian Street in Xiufeng District runs from Hushan North Road to Jiefang East Road, next to the red Zhengyang Clock Tower. The north side is mostly food and restaurants, the south side has souvenir and clothing shops. Street snacks include crayfish dumplings, grilled skewers and fresh coconut; local specialties include osmanthus pastries and wine, beer fish, rice noodles, and Guilin's three treasures (sanhua liquor, chili sauce and fermented tofu). It is open all day and is liveliest at night, with little activity in the morning.
